Wooden pull-along cart with fishing game – sorting blocks, animal shapes | Montessori toy

This wooden activity set combines several types of play in one pull-along cart on wheels. The cart is filled with eight colourful wooden play pieces, including animal shapes such as a lion, a zebra and a rhinoceros.

The set includes a magnetic fishing rod with little fish and worms, so children can fish, sort, build and pull the cart along behind them. This variety keeps their attention and gives them space to decide for themselves what the game becomes.

Contents and features

• Contents: 1 wooden activity cart, 8 wooden play pieces and 1 magnetic fishing rod
• Extra: magnetic fish and worms plus blocks with animal shapes
• Material: natural wood with water-based paint
• Safety: BPA-free, lead-free and with rounded corners
• Play types: fishing, sorting, building and pulling
• Skills: hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and colour and shape recognition

The pulling function makes the toy mobile: toddlers who have just learnt to walk can take the cart with them around the room and then pack the pieces away again afterwards. This fits with the Montessori idea of independent play and tidying up. With the magnetic fishing game, keep an eye on the small parts and play alongside young children. Clean the wood with a dry or slightly damp cloth without soaking it in water, and let it air dry so the water-based paint stays looking good.
